4,1 $tandard Operating Procedures <br />Vantage Boat Launch has no mmplex, interlinked multl-function systems that would wanani the <br />development of $tandard Operating Procedures (SOP), $OPs are developed for systems associated with <br />the operation of complex, mulliple inlerlinked funclions that musl all oocur for an oulcome thal fulfille the <br />expeclation for thal specilic aEect of an operation. $OPe are al$o written instructions to achieve <br />uniformily of the performance of functions associated with quality requiremants of a system. <br />S.0 Maintenance Monitoring <br />5.1 Unplanned Maintenarce <br />All personnel involved in lhe operation or maintenance of Vantage Boat Launch will have a means to <br />provide feedback to Grant PUD Recreation Specialists on sbserved or reported maintanance needs outeide <br />their direct responsibility, This will a$surs a means of timely awarcnes$ of maintanance needs and <br />appropriate responsss being directed at the issue. <br />5,3 lnspec-lions <br />ln addition to reporling and tracking of Unplanned Maintenance, Recreation $pecialists will conduc{ site <br />inspections al Vantage Boat Launch twice a yea 1o evaluate the ouccess of ounent task ochedule <br />frequencies and to identify any non-routine maintenance that nesds to be addreosed. <br />5.3 Maintenance Tracking <br />Activi$ kacking will assist Grant PUD in preparing accurate staffing and budget plane. A Recreation <br />Speciall*t will coordinate with Granl PUD Facilities depadment and contract staff ae needed to verify work <br />durations for speclfic projects. This information will he reviawed on an annual basie to adjust estimaled <br />work duraticns for specilic tasks. <br />A combination of the Maximo system {maintenanco managemant syslem} and sita mainlenance <br />sprwddrestr will be utilirsd to e*hedule, lrack" and report work at fimnt PUD r*croation sites. As a goal, <br />any uriancce in wbrk durdisnc wlll be coerdinaled to lmpnvu work planning dciends$. <br />6.0 Vegetation Management <br />6,1 Trees <br />An annual inspection of all trees by staff with training in tree disease and structuralfailure indicalors, will <br />oocur in the fall. lf indicators are found that warrant more than increased observation, a trained arborisl <br />should be cslled lo determina if a eonective prescripticn is needed, Any conective aclion can be <br />implemenled prior lo the next ffie season. <br />All staff performing routine mainlenance at the site should be aware and observant of indicators of tree <br />hazards, <br />6.2 Weed Control <br />Noxious weeds will be managed for lhe sile under the Distdcts Vegetation Managemenl Progmm, <br />consistsnt with tha integrated pest managomsnt plan far Vantage Boat Launch, The Grant PUD Facilities <br />staff or a contractor will control lhe weads as needed, based upon site vagetation assessmsnls. <br />Wsed Contfol Melhods and Schedule <br />Weeds will be conlrolled by he&icide spraying, hand-pulling, or by meafranical methods (wead-whacking or <br />mowing). These methods and lheir fiequoncy are dascribed in the table bsJow. <br />6
