New Ellensburg Transfer Station Project: Patti informed the Board that she had applied for <br />two separate EPA Federal grants, one being $4 million for the compost facility and $800,000 for <br />the new recycling facility and was informed the applications are moving on to final review. Patti <br />informed the Board she had submitted plans to the City of Ellensburg for a building permit. The <br />City has come back with comments that are requiring a redesign for a second exit for fire and a <br />waterline due to the potential HHW storage capacity at the new facility. The Board directed <br />Patti to confirm current HEW amounts being stored on site and clarify requirements from the <br />City Fire Marshall. <br />Bloom Project: Patti updated the Board on the new sewer line installation that had to be <br />rerouted and is scheduled to begin June 201h. The City is assisting the County in locating the <br />sources of older lines as there are no as-builts available. <br />Shady Brook: Patti informed the Board she will be requesting a resolution to award the bid for <br />County owned mobile homes at 1200 E. University Way and BOCC signatures on a professional <br />service agreement with Belsaas and Smith Construction, Inc. Discussion was held regarding the <br />timeline of the project with plans to be completed and the area covered with the County's mulch <br />before rodeo weekend. <br />Prosecutor's Office: Discussion was held on carpet, door and door frame installations. Patti <br />informed the Board certain doors are on backorder until the end of August, Prosecutor's office is <br />aware of delay on doors, and they are scheduled to begin moving in August lst <br />Jail Updates: Patti informed the Board she is preparing RFQ paperwork for an on -call architect <br />to assist with issues at the jail. Patti relayed to the Board problems with the siding and sealing in <br />the outdoor recreational area and the need for a product that can withstand the weather. Further <br />discussion was held on the aging infrastructure and needed preventative maintenance and repairs <br />along with the impact and cost during construction. <br />2023-06-13 MINUTES 2 <br />
