KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />2023 STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: June 12, 2023 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution directing the examination <br />of a regional planning organization serving the Conference <br />of Governments <br />BACKGROUND: For the past several months, the Conference of <br />Governments (COG) has been evaluating various regional <br />planning organization models. At the May COG meeting, <br />the COG motioned (unanimously) to evaluate impacts <br />associated with creating increased authorities allowing the <br />possible creation of a regional planning organization <br />serving all COG members. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution directing Public Works evaluate <br />the likely organizational structure and costs associated with <br />creating a regional planning organization serving Kittitas <br />County COG members. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
