Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct staff distribute SOQ response materials to the Broadband scoring committee and <br />provide a scoring sheet for committee use. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• The county has received two responses to our solicitation for qualified broadband <br />providers — Thorp and Edgemont. <br />• A selection committee now needs to review the responses and recommend <br />selection to the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC). <br />• PW will prepare the SOQ scoring sheet and distribute it to the selection <br />committee. <br />• The BoCC needs to formulate the committee and advise Public Works for SOQ <br />response and scoring sheet distribution. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />For the past several months, the county has worked preparing a solicitation process <br />attempting to attract potential broadband service providers (Thorp and Edgemont). The <br />advertising period closed on June 2, 2023, with the county receiving two responses. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />An SOQ review committee now needs to review, score, and recommend a service <br />provider to the BoCC.
