.: : • ' CITY OF ROSLYN
National Historic District and Preserve America Community
April 6, 2023
To Whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in support of looking for funding in replacing existing
sprinkler system in the Roslyn Historical Cemeteries. There are 26 different cemeteries that date
back to the early 1880's. The existing sprinkler system has been in place since around the 50's
and 60's and has been deteriorating and patch worked together to be able to be used. The
cemetery is one of the biggest tourist attractions for our community along with the rich mining
history of our town. We have a great group of volunteers and city public works that has
continued to maintain the cemetery grounds, but the past several years has been challenging
trying to keep the cemetery grounds green for our visitors as the old water system continues to
have failures often. The funding for this new sprinkler system would be a great improvement to
help maintain the sacred grounds of the Roslyn historical cemeteries for years to come.
Sincerely,
Jeff Adams
Council 5
Mayor pro tempore
City of Roslyn
201 S 1" St., P.O.
