A rninimum of l2 patrol hours on <br />weekends, between noon Friday and rnidnight Sundays in the afternoon <br />and evening hours. <br />Total rsimbursement for this category shall not exceed the amount of: $47.960.00. <br />TRAINING: <br />See Cooperative Lav' Enforcement Agreement Provision IY-Kfor additional information. <br />Training that supports or adds to the safety or effectiveness ofdeputies conducting forest <br />patrols may be reimbursed. Training could encompass any subject area that intersects with <br />public safety, community engagement, or criminaljustice. All training requests must be pre- <br />approved by the Patrol Captain. <br />Total reimbursement for this category shall not exceed the amount of: $3.000.00 <br />Itl. EQUTPMENT: <br />See Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement Provisions Iy-K, IV-L, and IV-Mfor additional <br />information. <br />Equipment necessary for and to support the safety and effectiveness of deputies conducting <br />forest patrols for CY23 may be reimbursed. All equipment orders must be pre-approved by the <br />Patrol Captain through email correspondence. Equipment requests could include, but are not <br />limited to, communication equipment, safety equipment patrol and supportive equipment, or <br />other equipment related to operating in the forest environment. All costs and liability for <br />maintenance and use shall be the responsibility of the Kittitas County SherifPs OfTice, <br />Total reimbursement for this category shall not exceed the amount ofi $?.000.00 <br />IV. SPECIAL ENFORCEMENTSITUATIONS: <br />A. Special Enforcement Situations include but ars not limited to: Fire Emergencies, Drug <br />Enforcement, and certain Group Gatherings. <br />B. Funds available for special enforcement situations vary greatly from year to year and must <br />be specifically requested and approved prior to any reimbursement being authorized. <br />Requests for funds should be made to the U.S. Forest Service designated representative <br />listed in ttem l-A of this Operating Plan. The designated represenrative will then notify <br />the Cooperator whether funds will be authorized for reimbursement, lf funds are <br />authorized, the parties will then jointly prepare a revised operating plan. <br />l. Drug Enforcement: This will be handled on a case-by-case basis. The request will <br />normally come from the patrol Captain; however, it may come from the Special <br />Page 3 of5 (Rev. t2-t3)
