BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2023 - <br />RESCIND THE SELECTION OF EAST SLOPES EARTHWORKS FOR THE <br />MANUFACTURED HOME, BARN, ARENA, AND GARAGE DEMOLITION AND SALVAGE <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Public Works prepared a request for proposals for manufactured home, barn, arena, and <br />garage demolition and salvage services in January 2023 consistent with Chapter RCW <br />39.26.120; and <br />WHEREAS: Nine (9) qualified proposals were received; and <br />WHEREAS: On February 21', 2023, at the recommendation of an internal Public Works review team, <br />the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County selected East Slopes Earthworks <br />for the manufactured home, barn, arena, and garage demolition and salvage project; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County reviewed the procurement process in response to a protest made by a <br />respondent to the project solicitation; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County determined that that building demolition is subject to Chapter 39.04 RCW <br />and not RCW 39.26 and that services should be resolicited utilizing the correct <br />procurement process. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, in the best interest of the public, does hereby rescind the selection of East <br />Slopes Earthworks for the Manufactured Home, Barn, Arena, and Garage Demolition and <br />Salvage Project. <br />DATED this 4' day of April 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
