8. STAGING AND RISER REQUIREMENTS <br />ARTIST is to have access to a clear, flat, stage of solid interlocked construction at least forty (40) feet <br />wide (excluding sound wings), thirty (30) feet deep, and at least forty-eight (48) inches high, with clear <br />space above the stage of at least thirty (30) feet high. If stage is portable or to be built, specifications <br />are: Sixty (60) feet by forty (40) feet with no sound wings. Sound wings should be on each side but <br />not connected to main stage. Please be sure that the stage is completely clear of any obstructions <br />prior to load in, Two (2) sets of stairs are required from floor to stage. One for stage right and one for <br />either stage left or upstage center. PURCHASER must provide lights and railings on stairways. <br />PURCHASER must also provide a ramp for Load In and Load Out, also lighted. Completion of <br />performance stage is expected NO LATER THAN TWO (2) HOURS PRIOR to earliest production <br />call. The performance stage, sound wings, and all associated risers should be solidly constructed, <br />free from holes and soft spots, and be incapable of any movement or motion. Back of stage should <br />not be closer than four feet (4') to back wall of venue. Artist's production normally takes two (2) hours <br />to set up before sound check. This time starts after staging, sound and lights are in place. Ideally, the <br />stage and associated sound wings/risers should be built the day before. <br />9. OUTDOOR PERFORMANCES <br />In addition to the above, the stage must have:�SEPA4 secure covering that covers entire stage and wings <br />and is a minimum of twenty-four feet (24') above the stage for protection of the equipment and <br />ARTIST from rain, sun, and extreme temperatures prior to and during the PERFORMANCE. This <br />cover shall be "load bearing" so that the front and rear lighting trusses as well as the sound system <br />may "fly" from it.jEP,� An adequate supply of plastic sheeting or "tarps" is required to cover all <br />equipment, stage gear, lighting console, and all house and monitor electronics. "Easy Up's" Tents for <br />FOH, Lighting, Monitor & Guitar World is an absolute requirement. Twenty (20) hand towels and Four <br />(4) squeegees should also be available in case of rain. <br />10. POWER REQU I_ RE M E NTS (North, Central, South America &Asia) PER ADVANCE <br />Electricity should be made available for contracted sound/lighting companies according to their <br />requirements. Sound power should be on a different transformer from the lighting source, or at least <br />on the other side of an isolation transformer to prevent interaction between lighting and sound <br />equipment.
