Location: Located on Snoqualmie Pass, just t hour from Seattle, WSSSM is the Northern Gateway Entrance to Kittitas County and the first stop on the Central WA Outdoor Experience. WSSSM is located just off l-90, on busy route g06, across the street from the Chevron and The Summit lnn in The Pass Life development between two busy locations: the Commonwealth restaurant and Dru Bru Brewery. 2022 visitor records indicate that the museum is most busy when the restaurant and brewery are also busy. 2. Year-round destination. The main winter attraction on Snoqualmie Pass is skiing and snowboarding and The Summit at Snoqualmie draws over a half million visitors per year. Outdoor recreation in the summer, spring and fall makes the area year-round tourist destination. Summer and Winter are the busiest seasons. 3. Passion for Ski Culture: Because we are a newer facility opened in 2015, the museum was created as a storytelling, interactive museum with extremely modern design esthetics. Monitors throughout enhance the experience of each exhibit. Kids and adults alike love to push the button to activate the enormous rope tow that resides in the museum's rafters. Because we are a smaller museum, each visit is really a personal tour by a museum volunteer who will cater to each visitor's interests. Our volunteer hosts services as guides to WSSSM, but also field many questions about the surrounding area and help to promote other local businesses and activities! WSSSM has a unique proposition with little competition in the immediate area. lf a visitor is looking for a cultural or historical experience on Snoqualmie Pass, WSSSM is the place. New in 2022,lhe museum promoted scavenger hunts (4 levels now!) at the museum for kids with cool prizes. The Snowboarding Exhibit and original film is drawing lots of new interest! 4. Museum Events: WSSSM offers many events throughout the year from book talks to partnership events to educational and safety events. Each event draws lrom20-200 people. 5.
