9129122, 10:53 AM
4.1 Collaboration *
4.2 Promoting Local
Business *
LTAC Clerk Review
Our most significant collaboration to-date has been with Gallery One in
Ellensburg. During summer 2022, we worked together to create a "visiting artist
program." We provided living quarters for 1-2 weeks and Gallery One provided
studio space for out-oftown artists to visit and create work in our community.
These artists gave a presentation at Gallery One and were a draw for folks who
wanted to experience the creative process first-hand by accomplished artists from
outside our area.
Historically, we have also partnered at various levels with the following businesses
and organizations.
('1). lron Horse has supplied beer for events and we created the mural in their new
tasting room. We also used one of their warehouse spaces for an event in
December 2019 called "Boxing Day" for which we installed projected videos,
custom lighting design, and hundreds of cardboard boxes to create an immersive
community experience for families to build forts, giant robots and cardboard
sculptures while a DJ played music and lron Horse poured beers.
(2). lnland Poetry has hosted performances at our "Barnstorm" events as well as
the new stage at our Fire House Project.
(3). Members of our team are responsible for the interior and rooftop murals at
Hotel Windrow as well as artwork throughout the hotel.
(4). ln May 2022,we collaborated with the Thorp School District to host a month-
long exhibition of student artwork.
(5). ln June 2022,we collaborated with Make Music Ellensburg and the Ellensburg
Skate Park for a live t-shirt printing demo.
ln the future, we are excited to collaborate with more arts and culture
organizations throughout the county and the Department of Art + Design at CWU
We are also interested in building partnerships with food trucks to further develop
the hospitality component of our business plan.
2500 character limit
Describe how you will promote lodging establishments, restaurants, and business located in Kittitas County
Over the past year, we have already created a list of hotels and restaurants that
we provide to folks coming from out-of-town. This is a list that goes to our visiting
resident artists, exhibiting artists and guest speakers. With the addition of multi-
day workshops, we would include this information as part of the signup process for
attendees. As our audience and attendance continues to grow, we also want to
partner with a hospitality vendor or food truck and look fonivard to finding ways to
bring more businesses to Thorp.
2500 character limit
lf-app-'16-03.co.kittitas.wa.us/Forms/form/submission/history/77618/85645?hideHeader=true 9t17
