Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct staff prepare enabling documents for Commission action. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Pursuant to a duly advertised solicitation for professional services in 2022, a <br />single responder is proposed for a professional services agreement (PSA) with <br />Public Works (PW). <br />• The firm will lead efforts "re -sealing" the metal skin of the Upper County <br />Maintenance Shop facility in Cle Elum. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On the heels of our settlement agreement with Blew's Construction (Upper County <br />Maintenance Shop facility in Cle Elum); PW began efforts remediating heating <br />ventilation and cooling (HVAC) issues at the shop. A Request for Qualifications was <br />issued in late 2022 seeking architectural service support. A single response was received <br />from NEXUS — the firm who conducted the 2022 HVAC study for PW. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />PW desires entering into a PSA with NEXUS managing remedial repairs to the Upper <br />County Maintenance Shop facility in Cle Elum. PW anticipates removal of a portion of <br />the building metal skin with re -attachment sufficiently sealing the building allowing for <br />optimal HVAC performance.
