4.2 Promoting Local
Business*
Describe how yqu y/ill pronlole lodging establishrilents restarranis. and l)Llstress locatled in Kittitas Cortrrty
The very nature of our event creates a draw for ihe whole couniy, which benefits
businesses of all types (i.e. restaurants, hotels, shops. etc.)_
Specific ways we promote other businesses include rnaking space available for
makerslgrowers to sell their products and promoting those businesses by
highlighting them on our social media platforms. And, while Covid has impacted
many of our direct partnership efforts (for example. Pape (formerly WA Tractor)
doesn't have the inventory to host "Touch a Tractor"), we plan to get those rolling
again in 2022.We will also be offering multi-tiered sponsorship opportunities which
will feature partners on-site, on our web site and social media platforms. We would
also be happy to work with a host hotel.
Finally, while it's not measurable. we (as the owners) dedicate ourselves to visiiing
with as many guests as possible (because we love doing it and it's a great way to
get more information!). We love sharing everything Kittitas County has to offer with
guests..-from restaurants and places to stay to our favorile shops, sweet splurges.
hiking trails and more.
250{,1 chara/iter iir}til
4.3 Host Hotel*ls lhere a hosi holr:l ior yoLir evenl cr qrallt project? lt yes lisi the holei.
oNo
Yes.
5l Future Plans
Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ficket sales,
event sponsors, and other cost-recovery models.
Future Plans*We have been growing both the overall farm and our fall season festivities. As to the
farm, we have made good on our plans to expand into the summer season. While
this is not part of the funding request. we feel that the more exposure/guest traffic
the farm has. the better it is for our fall event.
To our fall event itself, we took a big step in 2020. introducing paid admission. This
has generated a more consistent source of revenue. Going forward, we will be
looking at nrore consistant sponsorship oppotunities as well.
2500 character litilit
Application Questions. Part 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
