12/06/2022 MINUTES 3 <br />JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER reviewed a Staff Report and said the <br />county is required to prepare an ADA Transition Plan to address <br />deficiencies. An inventory of faculties in the right-of-way was <br />conducted in 2014. Through that inventory sidewalks on Airport Road <br />and Bowers Road were noted as needing maintenance and/or repairs. <br />Two open houses were held, and applicable comments have been <br />addressed and the ADA plan has been updated accordingly. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2022-224 ADA TRANSITION PLAN PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-224, <br />Adopting the 2022 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition <br />Plan. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING REGULATING PUBLIC CAMPING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:19 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing continued <br />from November 1, 2022, to consider Amending Kittitas County Code <br />Title 9 to Create a New Chapter entitles “9.55 Regulating Public <br />Camping”. <br /> <br />EMLIY SMITH, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT reviewed a Staff Report and <br />said the Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee recommends <br />creating a new chapter of county code to regulate public camping, <br />noting it would not go into effect until a sleep center is <br />established.
