3 <br />7 <br />Purchase of full-faced CBRN <br />masks. <br />Kittitas County's Regional SWAT team is <br />in need of purchasing CBRN masks to <br />respond to potential domestic terrorist <br />activities. <br />Team has PPE for response. <br />4.7 Communications and Warning <br />Primary Core Capability Operational Commu nications <br />Build or Sustain Su sta in i ng/Ma i nta ini ng <br />WORK PTANNED IDENTTFtED GAP/NEED ANTICI PATED PROJECT IMPACT <br />- Purchase portable radio <br />equipment and batteries. <br />- Purchase RACES radio equipment <br />- Purchase radio equipment for the <br />incident command <br />vehicle/command post. <br />(06cP-01-PORT) <br />County EM will work with Region 7 <br />RACES to update equipment. <br />The AAR from Cascadia realized the <br />need for RACES teams to be able to send <br />"packet" information. Regional <br />Exercises have confirmed the need to <br />upgrade ancient equipment so the <br />county can send "packet" information <br />via the radio to ask for logistic support <br />and to provide SitRep information. <br />Lengthy operations have also created a <br />gap in the need for radio batteries and <br />for the need to upgrade <br />communications equipment in the older <br />command posts/vehicles. <br />Strengthen com munication <br />capabilities in the command <br />posts and to support an extended <br />event/disaster. <br />Priority Area f2 <br />7 <br />4.9 Training <br />Primary Core Capability Planning <br />Build or Sustain Sustaining/Maintaining <br />WORK PLANNED tDENTTFtED GAP/NEED ANTICIPATED PROJECT IMPACT <br />Continue to support Emergency <br />Management (EM) program <br />through meeting and conference <br />attendance. <br />AAR for COVID Response and AAR for <br />Cow Canyon Fire have concluded the <br />need for continuity training in <br />Emergency Management employees <br />and volunteers. This training would <br />include lncident Management Team <br />specific training and classes and <br />conferences such as Washington State <br />Emergency Management Association <br />conference. <br />EM Program will continue to be <br />prepared for appropriate <br />response and recovery to <br />include: incident stabilization <br />and recovery with trained <br />personnel having up-to-date and <br />increased knowledge, skills, and <br />abilities. <br />Priority Area #3 <br />DHS-FEMA-EMPG-ARPA-FY21 Page 4 of 6 Kittitas County Sheriff's Office EM, E22-264 Amendment 1
