Attachment D
Revision f WORK PLAN
FY 2021 Emergency Management Performance Grant - American Rescue Plan Act
7
M Kittitas Cou Sheriff's Office
The purpose of EMPG-ARPA is to assist with the enhancement, sustainment and improvement of state, local, and
tribal emergency management programs. Activities conducted using EMPG-ARPA funding should relate directly to
the five elements of emergency management: prevention, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.
Washington State does not require a specific number of activities to receive EMPG-ARPA funding. However, there
are required capabilities that must be sustained in order to remain eligible for EMPG-ARPA funding, including but
not limited to the ability to communicate and warn, educate the public, plan, train, exercise, and be NIMS
compliant. The Work Plan delineates the Emergency Management Organization's emergency management
program planning and priority focus for this grant cycle (to include EMPG grant and local funds).
2
4.5 lncident Management
Primary Core Capability Environmental Response/Health and Safety
Secondary Core Capability Mass Search and Rescue Operations
Build or Sustain Building
WORK PLANNED TDENT|FtED GAP/NEED ANTICIPATED PROJECT IMPACT
fis!.€ha*€ S*s.a{a+?s#eri*}Vshi€ie W
@
@
e{*eie*+qe$e#ee+ivs-.pa*p-e*.
M
@
s***;vdi*
Purchase a Utility Terrain Vehicle
(UTV) trailer (12TR-00-TEQP)
The county identified a gap in response
times and needs a UTV trailer for
quicker response to remote areas or
areas where normalvehicles can't
operate (e.g. where flooding has
occurred). A UTV cannot legally be
driven from the office to a crisis site and
the county does not currently have a
trailer to haul the UTV to response sites.
The county will be able to use the
trailerto haul/deploythe UTV to
crisis sites, allowing for quicker
response.
DHS-FEMA-EM PG-ARPA-FY21 Page 3 of 6 Kittitas County Sheriff's Office EM, E22-264 Amendment I
