10/31/2022 MINUTES 2 <br /> <br />Patti Stacey, Solid Waste Director/Interim Maintenance <br />Director/Project Manager informed the Board that the Bloom Bids came <br />in at 18.8% above the engineers estimate. She stated that the budget <br />is $1.373 and she wants to have at least $1.6. She stated that she <br />needs to know today if the Board wants her to reject the bid or <br />prepare a contract. <br /> <br />The Board directed her to move forward with preparing the Contract. <br />Commissioner Wright encouraged Ms. Porterfield to look into seeking <br />County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee funds for it. <br /> <br />RATIFY LETTER TO RCO ON BEHALF OF WDFW COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and ratify Board signature <br />on a letter to RCO on behalf of WDFW Re: WDFW Firearms and Archery <br />Range Recreation (FARR) Grant Application, Durr Road Shooting Range <br />Development Project: 22-2088. Vice-Chairman Wright seconded. Motion <br />carried 2-0. <br /> <br />RATIFY LETTERS OF SUPPORT W/CHAIR SIGNATURE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and ratify Chair signature <br />on the following letters of support Project 22-1991 (Development, <br />Teanaway West Fork Trails); Ratify Chair Signature on letters of <br />support for Project 22-1880 (SE Region Maintenance & Operations - <br />North); Recreation and Conservation Office RE: 22-1989 DNR Southeast <br />Region Education & Enforcement, as presented. Vice-Chairman Wright <br />seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION BOCC CLOSURE – ARCHIVE DAY 12.16.2022 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution No. 2022-198, <br />authorizing the Closure of the Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners Office on December 18, 2022, as presented. Vice- <br />Chairman Wright seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of October 31, 2022, they <br />would share a post encouraging folks to vote. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2022 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br />
