• High — Critical facility is impacted, the only access for neighborhood or larger area is threatened <br />by flooding conditions, or there is an associated and documented flood -related mortality that <br />the project will address (30 points). <br />Criteria 4: Does the project advance watershed management for water supply, water quality, habitat <br />protection and management? <br />• Low — Benefits associated with one category (10 points). <br />• Medium — Benefits associated with two categories (20 points). <br />• High — Benefits association with three categories (30 points). <br />Definitions <br />• Water supply benefits: Project includes acquisition of water for water supply purposes, or <br />includes managed or passive aquifer recharge components. <br />• Water guafity benefits: Project provides riparian shading or sediment management and site is <br />listed as having an associated water quality impairment. <br />• Habitat benefits: Project improves fish passage, establishes riparian vegetation, or preserves or <br />improves and ecological processes (for example, sediment transport or floodplain engagement). <br />Criteria 5: Does the project promote or compliment CRS standing? <br />The following activities receive credit (+ 30 points): <br />Q Open space preservation (acquisition and restrictive covenants and easements). <br />Acquisition and relocation (insurable buildings in the regulatory 100 -year floodplain only) <br />• Flood protection <br />o Building retrofitting — i.e., elevation <br />o Channel modifications, including enlarging bridges and culverts <br />o Storm drain improvements <br />o Diversions and other structural projects <br />o Small reservoirs, including retention and detention basins <br />Criteria 6. Does the activity build on past investments or leverage partnerships? <br />• Low— project has 1 associated credit (10 points) <br />• Medium — project has 2 associated credits (20 points) <br />• High — project has 3 associated points (30 points) <br />Credit allocation: <br />+ 1 credit: project is identified as a flood reduction project in a hazard mitigation plan or flood <br />study/planning document <br />+ + 1 credit: project is identified as arip ority flood reduction project in a hazard mitigation plan or <br />flood study/planning document <br />
