Document #HR-AD010-000 <br />lssue Date 8/s/2022 <br />Author Jeanne Killgore <br />Department HR Department <br />Title Em ployee Recognition - Reti rements/Separations <br />1.0 <br />1.1, <br />2.O <br />2.1, <br />3.0 <br />3.1 <br />4.0 <br />4.1 <br />4.2 <br />5.0 <br />5.1 <br />6.0 <br />6.1 <br />2.r3 <br />Purpose <br />To explain HR's procedures for recognizing staff who are leaving County employment after <br />reaching retirement or a length of service milestone. <br />Scope <br />This SOP shall be applied to the following employee types per Resolution 2022- <br />2.1,.1, Elected Officials leavin g office upon completion of their term, or retiring form public <br />service through the retirement system <br />2.I.2 Retirins em plovees wh o have been employed by Kittitas County for at least five (5) <br />and are retiring from public service through the retirement system. <br />Separating emplovees who have been employed by Kittitas County in good standing <br />after fifteen (15) or more years of continuous service. <br />Definitions <br />CAMAS <br />Kittitas County's intranet system <br />Responsibilities <br />The HR Department is responsible for notifying the Commissioner's Office of the name of the <br />employee/Elected Official who is retiring/separating from service. <br />The Commissioner's Office is responsible for purchasing and providing the employee with a <br />memento of appreciation for their public service. <br />Prerequisites <br />None. <br />Procedures <br />The HR Department is notified of an employee who is retiring or separating from County <br />employment. <br />6.1,.1. The notice must be received in writing via the Notice of Separation form on CAMAS <br />or a letter of resignation from the employee.
