Snoqualmie Pass Comprehensive Safety Action Plan <br />Scope of work <br />TASK]: FORMULATE PLANNING GROUP <br />Kittitas County Public Works staff will contact pass stakeholder groups soliciting for <br />involvement representing interests in action plan development activities. At a minimum, the <br />planning group is expected to include the following representatives and or organizations: <br />Washington State Department of Transportation, Washington State Parks and Recreation, <br />Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Washington State Patrol, United States <br />Forest Service, King County, Kittitas County Community Services Department, Snoqualmie <br />Pass Public Utility District, Kittitas Fire District 13, Yakama Tribe, Snoqualmie Tribe, <br />Snoqualmie Pass resort operators, homeowner associations, business owners, Mountains to <br />Sound Greenway and others to be named. Staff will contact all on the list and manage all <br />meetings and outreach material distribution to the planning group. <br />DELIVERABLE: Contact list with contact information. Coordination of the Planning Group <br />through the duration of the grant. <br />COST: $4,720. <br />TASK 2: VERIFY ACTION PLAN ELEMENTS <br />The Planning Group will be solicited for defining/verifying action plan elements. At a <br />minimum, the following elements are anticipated for study: parking, pedestrian use, bike use, <br />truck parking, and transit. All modes will be evaluated for capacity and circulation needs. <br />DELIVERABLE: Action plan elements will be identified for study inclusion. <br />COST: $3,360. <br />TASK 3: COLLECT EXISTING DATA <br />Staff will solicit all members of the planning group for existing transportation data. Existing <br />data is expected to include crash data, comprehensive plan information, capital facility plans, <br />roadway geometries, parking inventories, recreational use data, critical and mapped sensitive <br />areas, resort and business plans, road standards, pedestrian, and bike use data and other as <br />identified by the planning group. <br />DELIVERABLE: Listing and management of all exiting data collected. <br />COST: $7,800. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
