INTERGOVERNMENTALAGREEMENTBetweenWASHINGTONSTATEPARKSANDRECREATIONCOMMISSIONAndKittitasCountySheriff'sOfficeAgencySizeCategory:MediumNQy232021MarineLead:ZachGreen,509-962-7525EastingProgramsAGREEMENT#LE:MLE1219THISAGREEMENTisbetweentheWashingtonStateParksandRecreationCommission,"STATEPARKS,"andKittitasCountySheriffsOfficethe"AGENCY".THEPURPOSEOFTHISAGREEMENTistoestablishacooperativeframeworkbetweenSTATEPARKSandtheAGENCYtoenhancetheperformanceofboatingsafetyandeducationservicesinthestateperRCW88.02650andWAC352-65.010.Thegoalistoreducethenumberandseverityofrecreationalboatingcasualtiesofalltypesassociatedwithrecreationalboatingandensureasafeandenjoyableboatingenvironmentforallusers.THEREFORE,ITISMUTUALLYAGREEDTHAT:SUMMARYSTATEMENTInexchangeforvesselregistrationfees,transmittedtotheAGENCYbytheWashingtonStateTreasurer,AGENCYshallfurnishthenecessarypersonnel,equipment,material,andservicesandotherwisedoallthingsnecessaryfor,orincidentalto,thepelformanceofmarinelawenforcementandotherdutiesasdefinedinChapter79A.60RCW-REGULATIONOFRECREATIONALVESSELS.PERIODOFPERFORMANCEThetermofthisagreement,oncesignedbySTATEPARKS,shallendonSeptember30,2022.Updated10/1/2021Page1of25
