BoatingSafetyEducationProgramRequired,DesignatedOfficerorDeputy:AGENCYshallcreate,adopt,and/ormaintainaboatingsafetyeducationandinformationprogram.AtaminimumAGENCYshalldesignateanofficerldeputytocoordinatetheactivitiesoftheboatingsafetyeducationprogram.AGENCYshallensurethatthedesignatedboatingsafetyeducationofficerldeputyreceivestrainingfromSTATEPARKS.AGENCYagreesthatthedesignatedofficerordeputywilloverseeAGENCY'sboatingsafetyeducationandoutreachprogramincluding,butnotlimitedto,coordinatingactivitieslistedinExhibitF.AGENCYisnotobligatedtoengageinalloutreachandeducationactivitieslistedinExhibitFbutitmustensurethatitsprogramisappropriateforthetypesofboatingandprimaryboatingaccidentswithinAGENCY'sjurisdiction.WaterwayMarking:AGENCYagreestoplaceandmaintainAidstoNavigation(ATONs)asappropriate,withinthewatersofAGENCY'sjurisdiction.AGENCYagreestoreporttoSTATEPARKSthenumberandhoursspentplacingormaintainingonlytheATONsthattheyareresponsibleforwithinitsjurisdictionontheSOARwebform.AGENCYagreestouseonlythosewaterwaymarkersthatconformtotheUnitedStatesAidstoNavigationSystem.Updated10/1/2021Page13of25
