KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SOLID WASTE AND MAINTENANCE MINUTES <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 108 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />TUESDAY 1 2:00 PM May 10, 2022 <br />Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Chairman (Absent) Cory Wright, Vice -Chairman and <br />Commissioner Brett Wachsmith <br />Others: Patti Stacey, Ken Grannan and Lisa Lawrence <br />Call to Order — Commissioner Wright called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m. <br />Ken gave the Board a brief overview of his staff report and requested approval of a resolution <br />demonstrating the Board of County Commissioners support for airport aid application to the <br />Federal Aviation Administration and the Washington state Department of Transportation <br />aviation division for Bowers Field and authorizing the airport director to execute the airport <br />aid applications. Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve Resolution No. 112. <br />Commissioner Wright seconded the motion. Motion approved 2-0. <br />Patti gave the Board an update on accepting Credit Cards at the Transfer Stations. Discussion <br />was held on getting the information out to the public. Further discussion included moving <br />forward with a Kittitas County Facebook page so that other Department annoucements would <br />not inundate the Commissioners page. The Board agreed to continue moving forward with <br />the project. <br />Patti gave the Board an update on Upper County Transfer Station Entrance, stating that she <br />had met with Pat Deneen and is meeting with the consultant later today to discuss design. <br />She informed the Board that she would be working with Pat Deneen on a boundary line <br />adjustment and that Mark Cook would be transferring $29,000 for his portion, and that <br />design should start soon. <br />Patti gave an update on the Recycling Audit. Discussion was held on upper County outreach <br />including showing the public the process and where the materials go. <br />2022-05-10 MINUTES <br />
