<br /> GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br /> <br />Airport Strategic Business Plan, 07/26/2021 4 <br />MISSION The Mission of Kittitas County Airport – Bowers Field is to operate and develop the  <br />Airport and Industrial Park in a safe and efficient manner to encourage the availability  <br />of high‐quality aviation and non‐aviation products, services, and facilities; support  <br />professional aviation education programs; enhance the economic benefit for the  <br />County; and support local and regional emergency preparedness.  <br />VISION The Vision for the Kittitas County Airport – Bowers Field is to be the leading Central  <br />Washington regional general aviation airport that is a vital and self‐sufficient center of  <br />air transportation and economic activity.  <br />GOAL 2  <br />  <br />Secure the development and/or operation of new aeronautical and aerospace  <br />products, services, and facilities by 2024  <br />OBJECTIVE  <br />2‐1  <br />Finalize minimum standards for engaging in commercial aeronautical activities by the  <br />end of 2021 for implementation in 2022  <br />OBJECTIVE  <br />2‐2  <br />Finalize leasing, rents, and fees policies by the end of 2021 for implementation in 2022  <br />OBJECTIVE  <br />2‐3  <br />Propose capital investment in the Airport and/or industrial park by 2022 through  <br />different funding mechanisms (e.g., loans, bonds, etc.)  <br />OBJECTIVE  <br />2‐4  <br />Develop a comprehensive Airport (including the industrial park) marketing and public  <br />relations program by the end of 2021 for implementation in 2022  <br />OBJECTIVE  <br />2‐5  <br />Solicit interest and proposals for improving/enhancing existing and/or developing  <br />new specialized aeronautical products and services (e.g., flight training, aircraft rental,  <br />aircraft maintenance, etc.) and associated facilities at the Airport by the end of 2023  <br />for initiation in 2024  <br />OBJECTIVE  <br />2‐6  <br />Solicit interest and proposals for developing aerospace products and services and  <br />associated facilities at the Airport by the end of 2024 for initiation in 2025  <br />
