Submittals received after 5:00 pm <br />local time on May 26, 2022, will be disregarded. Kittitas County encourages disadvantaged, <br />minority and women owned consultant firms to respond. <br />1 "/ 01 U11071 IM DI 1 , I DI 1 <br />Kittitas County's selection will be based on review of submittals in the following manner: <br />1. The firm's or team's qualifications, experience and ability performing the requested <br />work (30 points). <br />2. Detailed description of the firm's approach to the project (50 points). <br />3. Experience working in Kittitas County in the past five years (20 points). <br />4. Description of how the firm will meet the required 16% DBE design goal (30 points). <br />5. Demonstrated experience delivering similar bridge replacements with similar environmental <br />and situational constraints (50 points). <br />Anticipated Dates <br />Tasks <br />May 26, 2022 <br />Deadline for SOQ submittals <br />June 1, 2022 <br />Selection of Firms to Interview <br />June 22, 2022 <br />Interviews and Reference Checks <br />July 19, 2022 <br />BOCC contract award <br />August 5, 2022 <br />Executed contract <br />The selection process shall be as follows: <br />• Submittals are reviewed and scored by the Public Works selection committee. <br />• Selection of firms to interview may be waived if the selection committee decides to <br />award to a single firm based on review of the submittals. <br />• Firms will be selected to interview if the selection committee decides that interviews are <br />required. The specific interview format will be provided to firms in advance of interviews. <br />• Board of County Commission design contract award. <br />• The Public Works Director and/or County Engineer will negotiate a scope of work and <br />fee with the selected consultant. <br />• The selected consultant will then enter into a Local Agency A & E Professional Services <br />Consultant Agreement with Public Works. <br />Kittitas County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. <br />252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will <br />affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />
