<br />The purpose of the FY 2019 HSGP is to sqpoil state and local efforts to pevent tenorism and other catastrophic everils and
<br />to gepare the Nation for the threab and hazards that pose the gneatest risk lo the security of fre United $tates. Th€ HSGp
<br />prwides fundlng to implement lnve$ments that build, sustain, and deltuer lhe 32 core capabilities essential to achieving the
<br />National Reparedness Goal of a secure and resilient Mtion. Among the five basb horneland security mlssions noted in the
<br />DllS Quadrennial Horneland Security ReMew, HSGP suppods the goal to Strcnghen National Reparedness ard Resilienoe.
<br />The building, sustainmenl, and delivery of lhese core capabilities are not exclmlve to arry sirgle level of govemment,
<br />organization, or community, fut rather, require lhe combf ned efiort of the whole cornmunity. This HSGP award conslsls
<br />of Sbte Homeland Security Progmm (Sil-lSP) funding in the arnount of $7,0fr),000, Urban Area Security lnitiative (UAS|)
