KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 19, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Special Event Application authorizing <br />Richard Hoyt to host the 2022 Cascade Challenge June <br />10,11,12, 2022. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Commissioners Office received a Special Event <br />Application from Richard Hoyt to host the 2022 Cascade <br />Challenge June 10,11,12, 2022. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The applicant is requesting a waiver to the Penal Bond - <br />Kittitas County Code Chapter 5.20.100 – Penal Bond – Bond <br />of Indemnity. <br /> <br /> The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.160 – Closing Hours. <br /> <br /> The permit fee has been paid and Staff has routed the <br />application and received a recommendation of approval or <br />contingent approval from the following departments: Sheriff, <br />Public Health, Public Works, Solid Waste, Prosecutor, <br />Treasurer and Fire Marshal. (Specific comments may be seen <br />in the Department Memo’s attached). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Special Event Application from Richard Hoyt <br />to host the 2022 Washington State Sporting Clay <br />Championships from June 10,11&12, 2022. With the <br />following contingencies: <br /> <br /> Public Health/EH: Requirements <br /> Food Service for the event needs to obtain their <br />temporary food service permit at least two weeks <br />prior to the event. <br /> Sanicans and handwashing stations throughout the <br />course of the event with at least one being handicap <br />accessible and the camping area must have two <br />porta-potties in place throughout the duration of the <br />event. <br /> Garbage cans with tight fitting lids throughout the <br />course as well as a dumpster in the camping area <br />suggested placement in the parking area. <br /> <br />Public Works: Requirements <br /> Publish in the Northern Kittitas County Tribune <br />and Daily Record two weeks in advance. <br /> <br />
