04/05/2022 MINUTES 5

MISCELLANEOUS
Jeff Greer, Rotary Member, gave a presentation on a proposed Fieldhouse
project at the West Ellensburg property to allow for additional
recreational activities in the wintertime. He said the building would be
two-stories and approximately 300x700 feet and include courts, an area
with turf, a walking track, etc. Scott Rollins, Rotary Member, said they
were hoping the County would join in on a partnership with the City of
Ellensburg. They felt it would be a huge benefit for community members;
have a great tourism component; and be accessible to groups for
tournaments. Commissioner Wachsmith agreed to be the point person for
the Board in discussions with representatives of the City of Ellensburg.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
At 10:47 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz announced the Board would recess into
Executive Session for 10 minutes with Dan Carlson, CDS Director and Neil
Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor, to consider the minimum price at which real
estate will be offered for sale or lease when public knowledge regarding
such consideration would cause a likelihood of decreased price. However,
final action selling or leasing public property shall be taken in a
meeting open to the public. Possible action following.

At 10:57 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. Direction
was given to Staff to work with the Leasee to negotiate new terms for a
new lease. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 10:58 a.m.
KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON Julie Kjorsvik Laura Osiadacz, Chairman
