3.2.6 Custom Units Preferences and Units Set Selection <br />Units are assigned to each of the more than 180 variables in BehavePlus for the work- <br />sheet and run files even though your visible worksheet shows only a few of them. The <br />units set also includes the number of decimal places displayed for output variables. A dis- <br />cussion of units and decimal display options is provided in Section 5. <br />Configure > Custom units preferences lets you define and save your own set of units <br />and decimals. Configure > Units set selection lets you select from our choices for Eng- <br />lish or metric units as well as your saved custom sets. In addition, you have the option of <br />changing units or decimals for the current worksheet without saving a custom set. These <br />changes are saved with the worksheet. <br />3.3 Saving and Using a Worksheet <br />As noted, the worksheet concept is at the core of the BehavePlus design. The form of the <br />worksheet depends on user selections. You can change module selections, output vari- <br />ables, and input options to adapt a worksheet to your current needs. You can use one of <br />the example worksheets that come with the program, or you can use one that you previ- <br />ously developed and saved. All BehavePlus worksheets have the extension .bpw. More <br />than one worksheet can be open at the same time. <br />3.3.1 Example Worksheets <br />A few worksheets are packaged with the program in the folder named ExampleWork- <br />sheets (Figure 10). This folder is write -protected, so you cannot save other worksheets <br />there. If you make a change to an example worksheet, you must save it elsewhere. The <br />example worksheets were called standard worksheets in earlier versions of BehavePlus. <br />But "standard" is a misnomer; they are merely examples that we have developed. <br />The most important example worksheets are FuelModeling.bpw and FuelModeling- <br />Metric.bpw because they are set up specifically to handle decimal display for fuel load <br />values defined with the Initialize from a Fuel Model option (a change in Version 5.0). <br />Explanation is given in Section 5.2. <br />Figure 10—Several example worksheets come with the program.
