In this example, SURFACE
and SCORCH are selected. The indentation of the selected modules, SCORCH under SURFACE,
indicates that the modules are linked with outputs from SURFACE providing input to SCORCH.
3 Worksheets and Runs
Aworksheet is a form that guides user input to BehavePlus. It is built automatically by
the BehavePlus program based on user selection of modules, input options, and output
variables so that only the required input values are included on the worksheet. The term
run is used for a worksheet in which values have been assigned to the required input cat-
cgories. Calculate is the menu selection that produces the output pages for a run.
The worksheet is the foundation of the BehavePlus design. What you see is only part of
what you get. Worksheet and run files include not only what is visible on your monitor
but an entire suite of selections. We start with a description of the visible parts of a work-
sheet and related output pages, followed by an explanation of the selections that define all
aspects of a worksheet. We then discuss using and saving worksheets and runs.
3.9 Worksheet Components and Output Pages
In the following sections, we describe components of the larger BehavePlus window,
the worksheet, and output pages. Items are numbered in the figures to correlate with the
descriptions -
USDA Forest Service Gen. Tech. Rep. RM RS -GTR -249. 2010
