9.2 Workspaces <br />The workspace feature allows users to build a custom configuration for an application <br />such as a prescribed fire burn plan or a wildfire prediction. All the relevant information <br />to recreate analyses performed is included in a single folder for documentation and file - <br />sharing. <br />The parent directory for the BehavePlus file structure and all its subdirectories and files <br />is known collectively as a workspace. The DefaultDataFolder could have been named <br />"DefaultWorkspace" because that is exactly what it is. The workspace includes all files in <br />the parent directory, including any user -created folders and files. <br />To create a new workspace, you can clone an existing workspace to obtain an identical <br />version of the workspace under a new name (File > Workspaces > Clone current work- <br />space) that contains all files in that workspace (including any files you have created). <br />Alternatively, to create a new workspace with the initial BehavePlus folders and files but <br />with no user -created folders and files use the command File > Workspaces > New work- <br />space. <br />Whether you clone a workspace or create a new workspace, it is always best to use the <br />Make New Folder option (Figure 58). When naming your workspaces, we recommend <br />using a folder name that indicates that a particular directory is a BehavePlus Workspace. <br />For example, use the name BPWS_<FireName> or some equivalent naming scheme, <br />where BPWS denotes that it is a Behavebus -Workspace.
