9 File Management and Workspaces <br />File management and documentation are key components of any fire behavior prediction. <br />You can use BehavePlus' default file structure and create subfolders to organize your <br />files. The use of workspaces, however, will help you keep track of your work and will aid <br />in documenting and sharing results. BehavePlus workspaces store all BehavePlus files in <br />a single, portable format. <br />9.1 BehavePlus File Structure <br />BehavePlus has a prescribed file structure, and all BehavePlus files must be located in <br />specific subdirectories (Figure 56). Because they are installed in different folders, Be- <br />havePlus, Version 5.0 and earlier versions of the program can be installed on your com- <br />puter at the same time. Some subfolders are created with program installation (Table 3). <br />When files are saved, the appropriate BehavePlus folder is opened; new subfolders can <br />then be created (Figure 57).
