8 Using Outputs Elsewhere
Fire modeling results from BehavePlus are often included in documents, This can be ac-
complished in various ways, most simply by attaching BehavePlus printed pages to a re-
port. Portions of BehavePlus pages might be captured and inserted into a document (such
as this one). Table results can be exported as an HTML file, which does not have the Be-
havePlus page layout. Spreadsheet or other software can then be used to produce graphs
in ways that are not possible within the BehavePlus program.
It is worth repeating that complete information (program version number, input values,
selected options, etc.)—in other words, enough information to re-create the run—must
always be included with results. Tables of flame length or plots of spotting distance are
useless if the information used to obtain those values is not provided.
8.1 Print Output
File > Print allows you to print all BehavePlus pages or a range of pages. There is no op-
tion for two-sided printing.
General I
. somal Pdntar
Addpunter
-; d FP calor Laserjet
Addx MF
,a HP desquet 55

 MkrosaR aff
! The Adobe PDF option, however, creates
one page at a time, allowing you to change the name of
the file as each page is saved.
8.2 Save as PDF
If you have the ability to create PDF documents on your computer using Adobe® Acrobat,
the BehavePlus command File> Print will give Adobe PDF as an option (Figure 51).
Although it does not behave as you might hope, it does give you the option of converting
pages to PDF, Rather than saving all pages in the listed page range, it converts one page
at a time, triggering a pop-up window that allows you to change the file name for each
page. You can name each page and later combine them into a single document. Although
60 USDA Forest Service Gen. Tech. Rep. RMRS-GTR-249.2010
