Use a negative step size to organize a table from larger to smaller <br />values (for example, fuel moisture). <br />6.4 Choices for Continuous Variables <br />There is a Choices button at the bottom of the Input Guide window for some continu- <br />ous variables. A list of selected input values is given. This is different from the list for all <br />possible discrete variables. It is meant to provide some help and guidance. For example, <br />choices for 1-h fuel load gives values for the 13 fuel models. Map scale gives values in <br />several forms (such as l:x, in/mi, cm/km, and km/cm) for commonly used map scales. <br />Crown bulk density values are listed in units of both lb/ft3 and kg/m3. Slope steepness <br />choices are provided in both percent and degrees, giving a quick reminder that a slope of <br />550% is equivalent to a slope of 80° (Figure 33). <br />USDA Forest Service Gen.
