Response 1: <br />ProjecVEvent <br />Description * <br />The Ellensburg Dance Ensemble (EDE), in collaboration with Central Washington <br />University (CWU) Theater Arts, Music, and Orchesis Dance Company, will present a <br />spring dance production (to be determined) and The Nutcracker ballet in falllwinter <br />2022. These productions will feature local dancers ranging in age from 6 to adult. <br />EDE will also hire two professional ballet dancers from a regional ballet company to <br />play the lead roles to attracl a wider audience to our pedormances. <br />EDE is a not-for-profit pre-professional dance company that has been a part of the <br />Ellensburg community for the past 15 years and strives to bring the art of dance to <br />Ellensburg and the surrounding areas by performing at community events, providing <br />high-guality dance produciions, and offering dancers exceptional dance education <br />oppofiunities. ln the past, EDE's dance productions have included The Nutcracker. <br />Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, The Little Mermaid. Alice in Wonderland, and more. <br />EDE's dance company is led by artistic directors who have many years of dance and <br />choreography experience from all over the United States. The talents of our leaders <br />create beautiful dance productions that are a joy for the audience members to watch <br />and for the dancers to perform. <br />Collaborating with CWU Theater Arls. Music, and Orchesis Dance Company on <br />productions is a padnership we are going to continue to build upon. To increase the <br />caliber and professionalism of productions, EDE brings professional dancers to play <br />the more challenging roles in sonre of its productions and will continue to do so. <br />Theses professional dancers not only provide inspiration and serve as role models <br />for the local dance talent, they also bring in more audience members and appeal to <br />a wider range of theater goers. <br />The target audiences for EDE productions are families with children. as well as <br />dance and arts enthusiasts, from all over central and eastern Washington. <br />EDE is the only dance company in central Washington putting on performances at a <br />high-caliber level, and we believe we have an opportunity to grow our <br />professionalism and attract audiences from across the Pacific Northwest reqion. <br />2500 clr6racier Iinril <br />Video Link Please provide us lil1k lo a hriet video sunrmary ol you organj2aliotr's everlrprojecl.
