Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />RATIFY STATE AUDITOR AMENDMENT COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright moved to ratify the Chair’s signature on a <br />letter to the Office of Washington State Auditor Pat McCarthy Re: <br />Amendment to Engagement Letter dated September 22, 2021. <br />Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT PEARSON – FAIR BOARD COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright moved to appoint Brittany Pearson, to the <br />Kittitas County Fair Board for a 3-year term effective immediately <br />and expiring 12/31/2022, noting that she is completing a former <br />members term. Commissioner Wachsmith seconded. Commissioner Wright <br />noted he would like to see more turnover on the Fair Board so there <br />are fresh ideas coming in. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT JUHL – HOMELESSNESS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright moved to appoint Jay Juhl, to the County <br />Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee for a term effective <br />immediately and to expire on 12/31/2023. Commissioner Wachsmith <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />UPDATE PHIL BACKLUND COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />No meeting with the Phil at this time since they will be meeting <br />with him on 3/16/2022. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined for the week of March 14, 2022, they would post <br />on their Facebook Page: pictures they will take on 3/15/2022 during <br />their Agenda Session for the proclamations for CASA and EHS Girls <br />Basketball as well as the Mask Mandate ending. <br /> <br />UPDATE BOCC/ DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to <br />meet with on a weekly basis for the year. The assignments for 2022 <br />were determined at the Board of County Commissioners Office Admin <br />meeting earlier on and they will continue to provide updates at <br />future meetings. <br /> <br />Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective <br />departments and exchanged details of those meetings. <br />
