Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct staff prepare enabling legislation authorizing $50,000 in allowable expense <br />authorization. <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Currently, the Public Works Director has $50,000 expenditure authority. <br />• Public Works (PW) desires the Deputy Director/County Engineer (DD/CE) to <br />have the same expenditure authority. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Public Works Director currently has $50,000 in expenditure authority supporting <br />task order and professional service contract authorizations. PW is unaware of any similar <br />authorization for the DD/CE. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />PW is requesting a similar authorization in authority for the DD/CE.
