4.'l Collaboration * 4.2 Promoting Local E'UStness Our collaborations include working with Chinook Entertainment and Chinook Fest and mutually beneficial relationships with regional cider houses, local winery and local craft breweries. WSU's Master Cidernraker program has proven to be a great pattner, and will increase their involvement for 2022. KEEN is a member of the Kitiitas County Chamber of Commerce and our all volunteer board brings connections with CWU, conservaiion groups, and downtown business owners- CWU Recreation and Tourism program provides practicum students to help manage and plan the event and we anticipate that ihey will again be supportive. We were building a partnership with the NorthWest Cider Association. the US regional organization promoting apples, growers,cidermakers and distributors from the Northwest throughout the nation. We will continue to cultivate that relationshrp lar 2021. We also sell RV and camping on-site at the KVEC. Those links are all framed with a "you should take extra time and take a look around Kittitas County" message. That message has been reiterated through facebook posts which lead to the website lodging page and thus bookings. We seek community sponsors for this event- Attached is our 2020 sponsorship campaign. lf we garner local sponsors, their names/logos and so on are listed on banners. tickets, programs, and social media. We also hand out Chamber malerials to all attendees The ultimate purpose of this event is to gain attention for the Yakima Canyon lnterpretive Center project- That in itself is a big-pictr,rre, long-lerm tourist benefit. We want people to take to heart the Kittitas Environmental Education Network message, and become explorers of the Yakima Canyon, the Tearraway Community Forest, the WindFarm, Ginkgo state park, and all the rest. Our mission is to "Connect Community to Nature", and create life-long learners.
