The Museum's Board of Directors has dedicated an annual stipend of $2,500 to match the Lodging Tax grant fund request through its annual budget. While we have applied for grant funding for capital improvement and archival project specific funding in the past, the funding received was dedicated for those projecis and not for advertising. We were not funded for additional awards foi advertising nor were we successful in recent years in receiving other grant funding. ln 201I, we applied for but did not receive fLrnding for capital improvement project funding through local. regional, and national grants in addition to grants specific to nruseum collections storage, archives maintenance, collections care. and historic preservation. Due to the COVID-19 situation in 2020 and 2021 . we were unable to pursue project-based grants in 202A and found ourselves ineligible for funding for some grants in 2021 due to our sjze, scope, and scale. However, we anticipate applying for a rrajor capital improvemeni grant that will be dedicated funding and not appropriated until 2023 if successful. We ask for support from the Lodging Tax Grant to help accommodate all of the new rdeas we would like to use to achieve success. lf not funded in full, we would adjust our plans to reflect the decreased budget, however. depending on the allocation, we may be unable to pursue any of the planned activities as we do not have the capacity to do video production, newsletters, or maintain our website with our lirnited staff and resources.
