P arl 2 <br />3l lrnpact <br />Descnfie the pt'or silccess oi yoiJ. evelti'aciivityifacility lli attracttcfi torrists. <br />Typically, WSSSM hosts in person events that aitract between 150-300 attendees <br />each. ln pre-pandemic times, these events included Anniversary Celebrations, book <br />or speaker talks. or visils by Olympians. ln 2020 and 2021 . we shifted to an online <br />WSSSM Speaker Series (Zoom, stmulcast on Facebook Live) and other partner <br />events to keep the museum top of mind while we were closed. These partnerships <br />will serve WSSSM well as we iransrtion back to in-person events in2O22. Examples <br />include: <br />WSSSM created rnini exhibits inside Canlis Restaurant's hirrelve Yurts. WSSSM <br />historians created an in person exhibit called "sublime Sights" about Ski Jumping at <br />the National Nordic Museurn in Seattle from May to July 2021. We hosied several <br />online events in conjunction with that exhibit, which was widely advertised and <br />attended. WSSSM Board Member and Olympian Deb Armstrong gave several talks, <br />including one for the parents and racers of the PNSA Ski Race Teams. Anoiher <br />Speaker Series Event highlighted a WSSSM exhibit on Avalanche Dogs and <br />Backcountry Safety. The keynote speaker was Cle Elum's Chris Martrn. his Kg Anna, <br />and partners Ski Patrol Rescue Team (SPART), King County Search and Rescue <br />Association (KCSARA), and Drubru. <br />Thanks to a mrcro grant from Kiititas County, WSSSM partnered with Drubru to <br />create the Snoqualmie Pass Scavenger Hunt in the summer of 2021 . This hunt was <br />created using an app called "EventZee" and had over 300 participants compete to <br />earn points with quizzes. photo, video. QR and GPS location challenges. The hunt <br />was advertised on social media. digital advertising and with posters and flyers. lt <br />was a great engaging aciivity for tourists to do up at The Pass and brought guests <br />into the museum to engage rn challengesl Other partners for this event include <br />Comrronwealth and The Surnmit at Snoqualmie. <br />We have advertised these events throughout own website. our email list, Facebook <br />and lots of socral media posts with partner organizalions, mailed posicards and <br />flyers, We have also sponsored events where are target audience might be located <br />including the Warren Miller ski movies and the Ski Bonkers sale put on by <br />Sturtevant's. Booths at these events (over multiple days) have allowed us to <br />advertise our events, promote tourism at the Pass and in Kittrtas Counly. <br />Whiie specific evenis draw larger crowds. the regr-rlar museum visitors have been <br />drawn jn by permanent WSDOT freeway signage advertising the museum on l-90 <br />both west and east bound (NFXT EXIT signage). <br />2580 clrarireler,i,ril
