-Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision. <br />-Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions. <br />Performance Expectations <br />Performance Expectations <br />Quality of Work <br />Quantity of Work The Business Advisor is required to satisfy individual performance expectations, deliverables or goals <br />that are in alignment with the SBDC strategic plan and in accordance with the Annual Work Plan. <br />Annual deliverables for the Business Advisor include 900 personal advising hours plus an additional <br />900 hours in SEDC related support; tracking client business impacts; teaching short -course in <br />management topics; developing and following an annual work plan in cooperation with the Regional <br />Coordinator; providing focused instruction to particular client types or geographical areas targeted for <br />special emphasis by the SEDC or U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA); and special initiatives <br />and community outreach undertaken for the State Director or Associate State Director. The Business <br />Advisor is responsible for seeing that required reports are submitted to the Lead Center on time. <br />Satisfaction of deliverables and business client evaluations are among the measures used in <br />evaluating the Business Advisor's annual performance. <br />Job Knowledge The successful candidate must complete SEDC certification within six months after bein_4 hired — or <br />be making satisfactory pfoeress toward completion, as determined by the SBDC's Cert .icatior <br />Committee. Upon successful completion the candidate will be designated a Certified Business Advisor <br />(CBA).
