Future Plans*We have been successful in securing funding from businesses willing to support our projects, particularly our large events and capital pro.jects. Through data and matrices, we will be able to gauge and monitor our success in attracting visitors from outside of Kiititas County. Using this data we will approach our partners and other businesses and organizations and ask for their financial suppofi in regards to advertising and outreach. The Croatian Picnic funds our other free events which are open to the public including the King Coal Ceremony. events at the Roslyn Cemetery, and guest speakers. Our events that include dinner, dancing and music are self-sustaining and contribute to our free events. Ail our events planned in 202A were canceled . ln 2O21 we scaled back our events and focused on those that are held outdoors. The two dedication ceremonies that were held Memorial Day weekend in the Roslyn Cemetery were able to be held because they were outside. We had planned a weekend filled with other events including a large indoor gathering to include dinner, music and dancing but scaled back due to Covid. The same held true for our events typically held as part of Roslyn's Coal Miner's Festival during Labor Day weekend. Only the outdoor King Coal Ceremony was held, forgoing the dinner, music, and dancing event that typically occurs that weekend. We were also able to safely hold our Croatian Picnic event this year since it is held outdoors. For that event we increased the boundaries so people could have more room to spread out. The Liquor Control Board held our application until about 2 weeks before the event as iheir employees were working virtually. The process was also held up since they would only check their mail a couple times a week. We applied for the Liquor Control Board's Outdoor All Ages event permit to increase the physical boundaries to allow for social disiancing. Since the LCB employees were working virtually from their homes this held up the permitting process. Because it was a state agency. they were holding all applications and not reviewing or processing them until the beginning of July. That was very frustrating and stressful. 2500 character lirril
