COVID-19 lnfOfmatiOn It you had a planned evenl in 2020 or 2021. lvhelher lhey were able |o take pl.ce or lo1. pl€ase describe any <br />successes and challenges yori experienced. <br />We had planned for June 15-21 WASARVAC Conference in 2020. <br />Challenges: The June 15-21 202A Conference was cancelled due to COVID 19. <br />We were anxious about2021 and whether or not a gaihering this large will be <br />penritted in2A21 and we ultimately had to cancel lor2A21 . <br />We have concerns that these cancellations will have impacts on SAR units across <br />Washington State. (Note: many of the classes presented at this conference are field <br />training and classroonr classes that are not otherwise be avarlable to SAR <br />Volunleers) <br />Successes: We have been meeting regularly io discuss and implement alternative <br />ways to partially accomplish the goals of this Conference. i.e. smaller classes, <br />online/zoom classes. alternative sites, some classes in Ellensburg. <br />2500 characte. lirnit <br />Additional lnformation The Consolidated Lodging Tax Grant assists in our ability to provide this kaining. <br />ln short without this grant we will likely need to increase ihe registration fee to SAR <br />Volunteers who attend at their own expense.
