COVID-19 lnfOfmatiOn lf you had 3 planned eve'nl in 2020 or 2021 . lvhelher lhey vrere able to take place or not. please describe any
successes and challenges yoLl €txperienced.
Our 2A2A event was canceled due to COVID-19 and following state and county
guidelines for health and safety of our community.
We were able to hold lhe 2A21 Cle Elum Roundup the last weekend in July at the
WA State Horse Park. We worked closely with the County Health Department to be
sure we were following all required state and county COVID 19 guidelines. We
moved forward with planning however we did shifl our budget and reduced some
expansion plans as there was uncerlainty from week to week if indeed a gathering
event would be allowed. Sponsors were supportive and gave what they were able
to. Sorne businesses were limited by the losses as a result of COVID-9 while others
were able to give more. Almost all of our previous sponsors were able to continue to
support the Roundup and expressed the value they see in what we offer to the upper
county. Ticket sales were slow until the month of the eveni. However, as soon as
people believed the event was going to hold. all performances sold out. We did have
some increased expenses with additional sanitation measures and the need for
rental seating and equipnreni. We were grateful to have a fun and successful
community event and look forward to 2A22.
2500 ch.rracler lBii
Additional lnformation The Cle Elum Roundup Association is a non-profit organization comprised of
dedicated volunteers working io strengthen our communiiy through the traditions of
roundup and the sporl of rodeo.
ln tlre past B years, the Roundup has become a well-regarded summedime event
that brings thousands of people from near and far into the county for a weekend of
fun.
