KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 18, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to establish <br />County Road Project (CRP) number supporting the <br />Replacement of the Swauk Creek Bridge, Bridge <br />No. 07101. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has been selected to receive <br />$2,463,000.00 from the Federal Lands Access <br />Program for the Swauk Creek Bridge replacement <br />project. This grant funding, along with an estimated <br />local match of $484,000 from the Road Fund, will <br />be used to replace the load restricted structure on <br />Liberty Road over Swauk Creek. The work includes <br />removal of the existing bridge, design, and <br />construction of a new bridge meeting current <br />WSDOT safety specifications and requirements. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to establish County Road <br />Project (CRP) number for the Replacement of the <br />Swank Creek Bridge, Bridge No. 07101. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
