The change meets the Growth Management Act and the objectives of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />2l-ll Kittitas County Proposal: <br />Amend KCC 16.12.040 Comprehensive plan and zoning regulation conformance. <br />The proposed amendment to KCC 16.12.040 would allow existing lots that contain two lawfully <br />established residences to be short platted, even though they may not comply with zoning <br />minimum lot size or other dimensional requirements. <br />The Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on November 22, 2021, and <br />approved the request as presented with two amendments by a 2-l vote, amending the word <br />"residence" by using "dwelling" instead, and using the date of "July 26, 1996" instead of "April <br />17,1984," finding that: <br />L The Planning Commission recommended approval with conditions to the Board of <br />County Commissioners with a vote of 6-0. The Planning Commission recommended <br />that staff clarify the use of "residence" versus "dwelling." The current Kittitas County <br />Code does not have a definition for "residence," but utilizes "dwelling," "dwelling, <br />multiple-family," "dwelling, single-familyo" and "dwelling, two-family" instead. The <br />Planning Commission also asked staff to investigate the use of April 17, 1984, arrd <br />asked staff to consider other dates that may work equally well. <br />II.
