ADDITIONAL CONSUMER SERVICES <br />COMMUNITY I NFORMAT/ON AND EDUCATION <br />These services are intended to inform and/or educate the <br />public about developmentat disabitities and retated <br />services. This may include <br />information and referral <br />services; activities aimed <br />at promoting public <br />awareness and <br />involvement; and <br />community consultation, <br />capacity building and <br />organization activities. <br />Kittitas County reaches 450+ people per year on average <br />with these services. <br />rRAlN/NG <br />There are two types of training that can be funded: Staff <br />Training and Board <br />Training. <br />. Board Training inctudes costs incurred by the program for planned, structured activities designed to <br />provide, improve, or enhance program-related skitts of board or advisory committee members. <br />OTHER ACTIVITIES <br />Other activities can fund a variety of different projects. There was no funding designated for Other <br />Activities in 2020. <br />. lnfrastructure projects: Projects in support of clients not of working age. Examples include <br />planning services like benefits planning and generic job devetopment. <br />r Start-up projects: Projects that directty benefit the agency. Examples include equipment purchases <br />and agency administrative support. <br />o Partnership projects: Cotlaborative partnerships with school districts, employment providers, <br />families, employers, and other community coltaborators needed to provide employment supports <br />and services to young adults to become emptoyed. <br />Community Information <br />and Education primarily <br />serves young children <br />(birth to pre-K), school <br />age children, and their <br />fomilies. <br />Training is designated <br />for organizations and <br />their staff who provide <br />DDA-funded services as <br />weII as the <br />Developmental <br />Disabilities Advisory <br />Committee. <br />15
