Easton Ridge Land Cornpany has reached out to your representatives on
seveml occasiot'ls, met with them, provided adequate responses to evel'y specific grievance raised,
and will be providing significant benefit to the district and its citizens. We were taken aback by
the comments presented at the open record hearing and are interested in hearing and addressing
them.
Easton Ridge Land Cornpany was particularly surprised by the comments of one Kittitas County
Fire District #3 Commissioner at the open record hearing, in part, because of the attached letter to
you dated March 7,2018, in which Easton Ridge Land Company specifically asked for "an outline
of your expectations and what your expected increased needs will be." No response including such
an outline was ever received. Instead, it took repeated calls for our representative to finally get a
response from Fire Chief Jensen.
It was surprising, therefore, to hear at the open record hearing, for the first time, that ( l) you have
never heard from Easton Ridge Land Company, and (2) your needs have not been met.
Easton Ridge Land Company's representative, Jerry Martens, met with Fire Chief Jensen on
May 24,2019, regarding the expectations of Fire District #3. In this meeting, Fire Chiel Jensen
explained that, as a volunteer fire department, resources were limited and there were concerns for
the District's ability to provide service for Marian Meadows. Our Representative explained that
ERLC heard these concerns very early in the project and that approvals received addressed these
concerns with the inclusion of the following:
l, (+li) -1,{l-ltlll .
