ATTACHMENT ''A" <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />This proposal seeks to develop, deliver, and measure effectiveness of a community <br />outreach and education program related to COVID-19, and the role of public health <br />post-COVlD. <br />Approach <br />Learn the landscape. The Contractor will establish contacts and develop relationships <br />with staff, partners, community members and stakeholders. The Contractor will listen to <br />their experiences thus far and gather information about which audiences have been <br />reached and the ways in which people have received outreach with an eye toward what <br />worked well and what did not. <br />Kittitas County's population is very diverse, spanning all socio-economic groups, having a <br />spectrum of knowledge in health literacy, and who may not understand English. Starting <br />with a clear understanding of and articulated community interests and concerns would <br />then allow for the creation of links between community priorities and public health goals. <br />Such understanding comes from listening to the formal and informal networks that exist. <br />MearJingful communications. The diversity of the people in Kittitas County requires careful <br />and thoughtful consideratlon of how and when to message about COVID-19. The intent is <br />to inform, educate and empower people with information about COVID-19, and to mobilize <br />community partnerships who can act together to identifu and reduce barriers to returning to <br />a healthy, prosperous community. <br />lnformation and education will be delivered to the community through a variety of <br />mechanisms and channels, including but not limited to digitally produced (for social media <br />and web use), printed materials such as brochures and flyers, and image and other forms <br />of media. Key information will be translated from English to Spanish using back translation, <br />whereby a translated document is then reviewed by a local Spanish speaker to check the <br />accuracy and readability of the information. <br />Message content follows these guidelines: <br />o Not only relevant and accurate, but also unbiased and nonjudgmental.
