KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 18, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the selection of Combined Construction, Inc. and <br />Belsaas & Smith Construction, Inc. for Public Works Bridge <br />Maintenance Repairs 2021 — 2023 roster and authorize the Public <br />Works Director to sign Professional Service Agreements with each <br />contractor. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works advertised a Request for Proposals for <br />Bridge Maintenance Repairs 2021 — 2023, with submittals due April <br />23, 2021. <br />Public Works staff received three (3) qualified proposals. A review <br />committee evaluated the responses and selected Combined <br />Construction, Inc. and Belsaas & Smith Construction, Inc. as the <br />preferred contractors capable of supporting our current needs. <br />The roster will be used through 2023 for bridge maintenance repairs <br />that require grout and/or concrete work, that utilizes equipment and <br />skills we do not currently have available. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to approve the selection of Combined <br />Construction, Inc. and Belsaas & Smith Construction, Inc. for Public <br />Works Bridge Maintenance Repairs 2021 — 2023 roster and authorize <br />the Public Works Director to sign Professional Service Agreements <br />with each contractor. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Public Works Director <br />
