05/04/2021 MINUTES 3 <br />TONI BERKSHIRE, CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER reviewed proposed <br />amendments to Kittitas County Code Title 18, including the <br />background, proposed changes, and recommendations. <br /> THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: CHERYL CHANCE expressed concerns <br />relating to property rights and was in opposition to some of the <br />proposed amendments. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> NEIL CAULKINS, DEPUTY PROSECUTOR provided information on the burden <br />of proof and addressed other questions the Board had raised. <br /> COMMISSIONER WRIGHT moved to approve the proposed amendments to <br />Kittitas County Code Title 18, as presented and direct Staff to <br />prepare enabling documents. CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH seconded. <br /> VICE-CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ said she would be voting against the motion <br />and explained how she was concerned about protecting property rights <br />and didn’t support overreach of government. <br /> <br />The motion was approved 2-1 (Vice-Chairman Osiadacz voted against <br />the motion). <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 3:08 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> Julie Kjorsvik Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
